Thanks to its fascinating local colour, its rich history and its enchanting golden beaches, Kos, the birthplace of Hippocrates, the father of Medicine, is one of the most popular islands of the Dodecanese. In the picturesque village of Kefalos, Voudouris family, with great passion and respect for tradition, has restored six 19th century buildings, creating “Mylotopi”, a tiny settlement consisting of a bakery, a traditional house, a windmill, a threshing floor, a tunnel and an old café-restaurant. The complex, a typical sample of the island’s architecture and the cultural identity of the area, enables visitors to discover the lifestyle and everyday habits of a bygone era. PROLAT has contributed to this amazing project by applying LavaPlaster to floors and natural paint to all interior and exterior walls. PROLAT stone mortar has also been used in all stone-built structures of the complex, a bioclimatic material guaranteeing excellent workability and strength and high aesthetic quality. The final result is definitely impressive. So, “Mylotopi” has now been added to the countless sights of the island, offering the unique experience of a trip through time…
