In a chaotic metropolis like Athens, pedestrian precincts—especially when they are functionally and tastefully designed—are true oases for densely populated districts, where inhabitants can enjoy a carefree stroll and children can play safely.
In Halandri, PROLAT undertook the construction of planters that add a cheerful touch of green to two central pedestrian precincts: Haimanta Street and Platonos Street. The material chosen for this project was Lavacryl Granite, a quartz mosaic coating.
Lavacryl Granite is a ready-made coating suitable not only for walls but for all types of vertical surfaces, both exterior and interior. It is created by mixing natural quartz stone with waterproof acrylic resins, which makes it highly resistant to sun exposure and weather conditions and completely maintenance-free.
Furthermore, it requires no joints and is available in a wide variety of colours thanks to the natural shades of the quartz stone it contains.
The planters in the photo show how a high-quality material can elevate any construction, bringing colour and beauty into everyday life—something we all need.
